Corinna Young,
Hues of Healing Therapy Owner
My personal philosophy of counseling begins and ends with compassion and empathy. In therapy I walk alongside clients on their journey to healing. As someone who has overcome various difficult circumstances I feel that I have a genuine heart and a listening ear to understand where clients are coming from. I have previous experience working with children, teens, and adolescents, as a Professional School Counselor. I also work with young adults and and adult to support them during life transitions.
I believe that the healing experience encompasses the whole person - physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. I provide counseling that cultivates growth, healing, and restoration by helping clients feel seen, heard, and safe. The modalities that I use when working with clients include; CBT, mindfulness, solution focused, person centered, rational emotive, and behavior modification techniques.
As a counselor, I support clients in the process of overcoming obstacles and helping them to unlock their limitless potential. Ultimately, I strive to encourage the client to work on being comfortable with choosing the paths and directions that are best and most effective for them. It is my desire to inspire, empower, and encourage my clients to find mental and emotional healing.
